The Glenlo course has twin, interconnected greens which facilitate 9 and 18 hole play. The 4th hole features a green which is surrounded on three sides by the River Corrib.

A tight tree lined course. Some tiered greens make it very important to accurately place your drives and a good short game is necessary to score well. The course has excellent views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands.

A Cruise on the River Corrib
Galway City

Corrib Tours offer a luxury cruise from Old Steamers Quay in Galway City up the river Corrib past the magnificent salmon Weir Bridge under the shadow of Galway Cathedral along the old Clifden Railway line on to the scenic and tranquil setting of Lough Corrib. The 'Corrib Princess' is a luxury river cruiser with a capacity to carry 157 passengers on two decks. The main lounge has seating for over 80 passengers.

There is a full bar on board in addition to tea and cofee service. There is also sundeck seating for over 70 passengers offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. This is on Galway bay, opposite to Galway city, and is nice for slalom sailing. You can launch from the Yacht club and sail out into the bay. Salthill (Galway) Overlooking the Salthill Leisure complex is a lovely beach that is sailable In most conditions and being right beside the centre of Galway is popular with thelocals. Attention of the shore dump at high tide. Slalom sailing mainly here,with waves sometimes. The chop here is a living hell for those knees.
