Just on the outskirts of the city is Salthill, with a host of
attractions such as Salthill Beach, 'Leisureland' with go-karting
and swimming pools, Salthill Aquarium along with golf courses,
a driving range, tennis courts, horse riding, and much more.
If you are looking for something to amuse yourself or the whole
family, you might want to consider Salthill. It is the perfect place
to spend a few hours taking part in all sorts of activities, from
watersports to golf to more mundane indoor activities such as amusements,
bumper cars or crazy golf. If the far side of Galway Bay is trying
to entice you over, why not take a speedboat across Galway Bay.
If that is not your cup of tea a stroll along the ocean front my
suit your tastes better.
In the summer time the festivities hot up in Salthill (5mins from
city) with dodgems, go karting, ghost trains and rides, and crazy
golf.
If you fancy seeing some sealife common to Galway Bay or from further
afield, the National Aquarium of Ireland can both educate and please
you with displays that will teach you about the Salmon, the Atlantic
and much much else.
Salthill is also home to many of the city’s nightclubs including
The Warick. The area also has numerous bars and restaurants.
